¹⁸ Our heart has not ^(A)turned back,
And our steps ^(B)have not deviated from Your way,
¹⁹ Yet You have ^(C)crushed us in a place of ^(D)jackals
And covered us with ^(E)the shadow of death.

²⁰ If we had ^(F)forgotten the name of our God
Or extended our ^[a]hands to ^(G)a strange god,
